Keeping indoor cats entertained and maintaining their sense of fun and adventure is something I feel uncommonly passionate about. Outside cats have such variety – it’s as though no two days are quite the same for them… heck, often no two hours are the same. They have endless smells, sights, adventures – “finding fun” is not something they ever have to worry about and they seldom, if ever, get bored.

Our inside cats, however, have a much calmer world – and while it’s a much safer and more comfortable world, getting bored can be a very real danger. That’s why I love getting new, exciting cat toys (Amazon link) for them. While they have their favorite types of toys that I buy frequently throughout the year, my favorite thing to do is to find new toys with new sounds and sights they haven’t seen before. Their reactions are my favorite things ever!

The same is true for cat furniture. Our cats’ tree is just about ready to be replaced. They’ve done a real number on it! I can’t wait to introduce a fun new climbing, scratching, and hiding place for them to check out.

The beauty pictured here is a front-runner for me right now. I love the large platforms (perfect for stretching out and taking a nap on) and the dark gray color is perfection. I also love that scratching posts are involved. Our human furniture is especially thankful for this feature!

ADORABLE and Very Affordable Cat House from ASPCA

How adorable is this little cat house (Amazon link)? I love the designs on the sides (and the too cute for its own good chimney).

I’ve always looked, first of all, at the safety of cat furniture. This is most definitely safe. Then, I look at how much I think my cats will enjoy (and use) the furniture in question. I can easily see all of my cats enjoying this adorable little house. While it wouldn’t be sturdy enough for my outside cats, I definitely plan to get several (it’s a great price) for my inside babies.

Last of all, I do consider how it will look in the home. While it is most certainly not something that would make or break the deal (after all, I care more about my cats’ happiness and entertainment than I do decor), I do love it when cat furniture is cute and attractive.

This cat house certainly is that!

I also love that the “floor” is a scratching board – we all know how much cats love to scratch!

I had just been looking at a cardboard type house for cats on Amazon that was 5 times as much as this one is. Given that cats are tiny toddlers in fur, I didn’t want to pay so much for something that would probably not last two months, so I kept looking. Not only is this cat house (Amazon link) cuter and less expensive, it takes up less space – so, if you have more than one cat, you can buy however many you need.

After all, each furry baby likes having their very own space.

Machine-Washable Cat Bed With Memory Foam… I Know, Right?!?!

Memory Foam is a BIG obsession of mine. Seriously, I wish everything I came into contact with throughout the day was made of memory foam.

Cats often have different ideas about the thermostat than their humans. I’m pretty sure cats would be perfectly content if the temperature stayed 80 degrees year-round.
