Steph and Bo

One of the sweetest natured and most beautiful cats in the world – our much, much loved “Bo” has been missing for 3 days. Needless to say, we are pretty much beside ourselves. We’re hoping like mad that he’s off doing what boy cats do and is just taking a vacation from celibacy. An extended vacation.

But hope is wearing thin because of his nature. He’s very much a “big baby” and craves attention. He has never missed a meal and shows up for our evening stroll like clock work. Except for the past two nights. And he LOVES the routine of eating breakfast, then coming in to wake up our daughter Steph (pictured with him above). The past 3 mornings have been pretty lonely for her. No one has ever loved an animal more than she loves that cat.

We all love him like crazy and are hoping and praying that he shows up. His mother, my beautiful Carly, disappeared in January and never showed back up.

We’re counting on a happier ending this time.

Please remember us in your thoughts and prayers –

Lack of Posts – Never a Good Sign, Right?

You’ve probably noticed that I went for about 10 days without posting on this blog. Very rare, indeed. The reason is a sad one – one of my cats, my beautiful and spirited Carly, has disappeared.

When you have outside cats, you know full well that there’ll come a day when one won’t show up on the step for mealtimes or (in Carly’s case) on her window sill looking in. I’ve had outside cats all my life and have found that (especially for a female) two weeks is about the time you stop watching for them. She’s been gone a little over three, but I have to confess to looking at her favorite window every time I’m in the kitchen….hoping to see that precious face with that scowl that always made me laugh out loud.

Anyway, I miss her terribly, and I knew that coming to my Cat blog would be tough….it was.

Anyone who has pets knows the feeling – it’s just really, really sad. Our inside cat, Prissy, is going down (she’s an old girl!), and I truthfully can’t even think about it, but I know she won’t live forever.

Give your pets all the love they give you and hug them every chance you get
