cat video

Anyone who dedicates their life to helping animals automatically achieves hero and heroine status with me. Big Cat Rescue.org certainly fits the bill. They not only help save lives, they add to the quality of these lives… and they have a heckuva fun time doing it!

As a cat lover (whether they’re the ones who rule our house or the ones who rule the jungle), I thank Big Cat Rescue for all they do.

Since you’re on a cat blog, I think it’s safe to say you feel the same way I do about cats – that, or you got lost! I hope you’ll frequently visit Big Cat Rescue’s website and enjoy the stories, videos, and general information, shop for GREAT gifts and cat-related goodies, and MOST IMPORTANTLY join the fight for these magnificent animals.

Speaking of the shop, there’s a crazy cat lady figurine that I’m totally relating to…

It’s always fascinating to watch how similar big cats’ behaviors are to our family cats. These beautiful lions obviously delight in the attention and play just as their much, much smaller versions.

Such beautiful and precious faces!

I love funny animal videos, especially funny cat videos – only, of course, the cat isn’t being tormented, annoyed, or harmed in any way. If the cat’s happy, I’m happy.

The video below is one of the cutest I’ve seen in a while. The cat and owl are best buddies apparently and have a great time playing with one another. It’s a great song playing in the video too, even if I have no unearthly idea what they’re saying!

Be sure to watch the whole thing, it’s really outstanding.

If this little guy (gal?) doesn’t bring a smile to your face, check your pulse.

On second, thought, it’s too late to check for it… It’s gone!

Love the “Cool – I has it.”

Bai. I loves u.

This cat video is a really cute one. I was halfway through another one (and had every intention of posting it), but it didn’t pass my STRICT guidelines. I refuse to post a video that shows a situation where the cat is/was in obvious danger, all for the sake of a video. It’s ridiculous.

I don’t like the segments where cats are put in high places so they’ll jump down. Oooooh, how entertaining. I also don’t like when the cat’s being scared just to get a reaction. Not even remotely cool. I saw one clip of a woman who threw a kitten upwards toward a wooden ceiling, so it’d “land” claws-first into the wood.

If she and the photographer don’t have anything better to do than that, they probably shouldn’t be proving it to the world.

It’s also not cool to tempt a cat to jump toward a ceiling fan… I mean, come on, are these people even thinking?! Cats are funny enough little characters on their own – they don’t need directors.

Especially if the director isn’t taking their safety into account.

Okay, rant over.
