One of my favorite pictures of my husband is from our second of marriage. Growing up, he’d always had dogs – whereas I had no idea what it was like not to share your life with at least two cats. When we got our own place, as you might guess, we promptly added two beautiful kittens – a boy (he named Conan) and a girl (I named Wendi). One day, as I came waddling through the apartment, in all my pregnant glory, I saw him on the couch, in front of an NBA game. However, he wasn’t watching the game. He had Wendi in his arms. She was lying on her back, looking up at him as he talked to her.
It was such a cute sight, I grabbed my camera and snapped away.
Many years – and MANY cats later – he’s as big a cat lover as I am. Cats have a way of winning people over! It doesn’t take long to fall head over heels in love with a cat’s independent nature, unique personality, and undeniable beauty. Simply put, add a cat to anyone’s life and the life is instantly sweeter, funner – filled with a lot more laughs and a lot more love.
