One of my cats (Alexa) loves sleeping on the computer desk while I work, so I really don’t have much need for a picture in a frame – I’ve got the real thing!
But if I worked outside of the home, I’d most definitely want a picture (and adorable pawprint even) to keep nearby. I’d actually need 4 though, since I have 4 cats – lucky for me they aren’t all interested in being near the work. Oddly enough, the sound of the keyboard’s keys seems to put Alexa to sleep – the activity she’s involved in at the moment. Every now and then something will catch her attention on the computer screen and she’ll get right up on it to have a better look.
Before Prissy lost her sight (she’s 20, so I figure she’s earned some years in peaceful darkness), she’d love to keep me company in the kitchen and she was always game for watching tv, but computer work never interested her. As for Bo and Svenn, they prefer the great outdoors – Svenn keeps our garage free from mice, or so he says. My husband keeps the door cracked so he can come and go as he pleases. Bo sleeps on the carport up high on a shelf in a pet igloo. I’m always amazed at how warm it is inside. This morning, when I fed him, it was snowing. He normally comes out onto his “patio” to eat. But this morning, he just stuck his head and front paws out – so I had to move his breakfast toward him!
I knew I’d be feeding the birds alone this morning!
