Bookends Art PrintBuy at AllPosters.comIsn’t this a beautiful art print? I’m pretty wild about it, myself. The models remind me of my Alexa – she, too, is always near books. She’s lying across a new Nigela Lawson cookbook I got for Christmas right now. She looks a little disappointed….I guess she was expecting mouse on the menu.
The art print is by a water color by Steve Hanks – and it’s absolutely stunning. Click the link to take a closer look at this beauty, as well as to see more of his work.I just checked the web site again and found another watercolor by Mr. Hanks that also featured the animal we all know and love. Apparently he’s not just a brillaint artist, he’s a cat person too.I knew I liked him!

By the way, I hope you and your furry babies all had an amazing Christmas! Our tree withstood Alexa, so I’m counting it a success. Prissy (in her younger days) used to get up in the tree and sleep – ornaments would clink to the ground and we’d know our girl was either making her way up or down. She’s pretty content these days to sleep in a corner on the couch. She did, I’m happy to say, acknowledge the tree a few times – even working up enough energy to smell it at one point.I hear her majesty walking across the kitchen floor now (click click click) – apparently seeking an evening snack. You know what that means…I’m out!

Moved From the Old Blog….

Check (book) please! I see an awful lot of fun in store for Alexa and Bo, and for those of us who call ourselves humans, on most days anyway. Prissy (who you’ll remember is as old as Noah’s great grandmother) will probably glance at it twice before heading off to (1) bed, (2) her food dish, or (3) the bathroom sink. Svenn would be deathly afraid of it, so much so that I probably won’t even let him see it – too much trauma for my little guy, his high strung nerves couldn’t take it.
But Alexa and Bo will go positively ape stuff for the Spot “Micro Mouse” Radio Controlled Mouse.

From the Website:
Grab the controls & watch your kitty go crazy for this remote controlled mouse! You literally drive the mouse with the controller and watch your cat chase after it!!!
Too purrrrrfect!

The Got Tuna? Feeding Mat will bring a smile to your face as well as that of your cat’s. Okay, I lied…your cat will be smiling about the food, not the food mat – but it sounded good.
Backed with rubber and easy to wipe clean, this mat combines puts the fun in functionality. That, too, sounded good – and at least it’s true.

“Thousands of years ago, cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this.”
The pic above is Bo in a dramatic, artsy moment – I think he wears it quite well. My daughter, Steph, loves to try out different things with her digital camera – and Bo’s her favorite “model.” He accepts this fact and has decided that it might just feed his ego.
