It has always amazed me how a cat can fall asleep just about anywhere and in any position. Not long ago, I had a beautiful, colorful porcelain salsa and chips set out on the counter. I had my back turned, getting together my tortilla chips and salsa ingredients. When I turned back around, Alexa had filled the tortilla bowl with something else: Herself! I guess she thought that was the most exotic and lovely cat bed we’d ever given to her… so special that it was placed on the kitchen counter for everyone to enjoy.

Too freakin’ cute for his own good….or hers. This art print would add a lot of personality to any office, home office, school room – any room for that matter. That’s what I love about photographs and art prints, they allow you to stamp a room with your personality.

Svenn and Alexa have been buddying up alot lately. Thankfully Alexa’s “fixed” or we’d have Svenn kitties all over the place. (He fancies himself a ladies man.) For some reason Bo has decided he has little use for Svenn, so he hisses at him whenever he lays eyes on him – even if it’s half a mile away. Methinks Svenn just annoys Bo for some reason. Adam has no problem with Svenn….but then again Adam’s so laid back he doesn’t have a problem with anything or anyone – unless they get between him and food! Not even Svenn’s that careless.
Bo has actually gotten a little better the past few days – he and Svenn were even eating fish off of the same plate last night, so maybe they’ve patched their differences. I certainly hope so, I’d hate to take either one of those characters to be “fixed” – Bo would pout for a month and it’d make Svenn suicidal. A suicidal Svenn would be a very, very, very bad thing.

My daughter, Steph, took this great pic of Carly yesterday. Thankfully, regardless of how it looks, Carly was actually in the middle of a yawn. When Steph showed me the picture, my first question was, “Who was she after?” I was afraid that some other poor defenseless cat was on the other side of her attitude.
She’s not above it, mind you, she just wasn’t terrorizing anyone or anything at the time. At least that’s what Steph says. Carly may have paid her off. She wouldn’t be above that either.
I do love that cat.
She actually was in a pretty good mood yesterday. Steph said that after she posed for a few pics, she let her pet her and even endured a bunch of “sweet talk.” She has been a bit more agreeable since the changes: I gave her her own box, her own baby blanket, as well as her own table to eat on. She’s still my same mean little girl, mind you, but she seems more relaxed now. I wouldn’t want her to lose her spirit and sass, but I am glad to see her dial down a little bit on the hostility!
