I love how patient this beautiful orange cat is! Allowing the adorable parakeet to prance across his head… so cute. I say “his” simply because I haven’t had a female cat, yet, that would have stood for such a thing. In fact, as I’m typing these words, my inside cat (Alexa) is accosting a bird on the window ledge. Thankfully there’s a glass between them. Such a hateful look on her face, wow!

Sometimes all you can say is “Wow!” As someone who is fascinated with all cats – large, small, domesticated (as if any cats are!), or wild (as if any cats aren’t!) – I am utterly fascinated with this stunning wall mural. I can’t take my eyes off of these gorgeous white Bengal tigers. What’s extra precious is how similar they are, when you take SIZE out of the equation, to our house cats. My cats strike similar “I rule all things” poses, as I’m sure your’s do as well.

Anyone who dedicates their life to helping animals automatically achieves hero and heroine status with me. Big Cat Rescue.org certainly fits the bill. They not only help save lives, they add to the quality of these lives… and they have a heckuva fun time doing it!

As a cat lover (whether they’re the ones who rule our house or the ones who rule the jungle), I thank Big Cat Rescue for all they do.

Since you’re on a cat blog, I think it’s safe to say you feel the same way I do about cats – that, or you got lost! Love it! With three daughters, we’ve often had a lot of people in and out of our house. Sometimes I’d worry about Alexa slipping out. After all, what if one of my daughter’s friends didn’t know she was exclusively a house cat and accidentally let her out?! The thought gives me nightmares.

Fortunately, my girls have always been GREAT about telling each one, “That’s Alexa. She’s spoiled rotten and cannot ever go outside.” We’ve never had a single misstep. We’re also lucky that Alexa never tries to get out. She knows she has a great thing going here and doesn’t attempt to rock the boat. The only time she even approaches the door at all is one of us is returning home.

The tin sign shown above would serve as a great reminder for houses with pampered babies that MUST stay indoors – it’s also incredibly cute! Click through for a closer look.
