Taco Bo

The cat in the picture’s name is Bo (the girl is my daughter Steph and is rarely seen without Bo - you see one, you see the other).
He’s one of Carly’s kittens and has got one of the wackiest personalities of any cat we’ve ever had. He seems to like living life on the edge…which is probably why Steph doesn’t let him EVER out of her sight and RARELY out of her hands.
When he was only a few weeks old, he and his sister, Alexa, somehow got up into my husband’s car without us knowing, then went for a ride with him and one of our other daughters (Brittany). They stopped at a grocery store, and Britt noticed a girl walking off with a tiny kitten that looked just like Alexa. She got out, went over to the girl and saw that it was IN FACT Alexa. They brought her home and we all realized that Bo wasn’t accounted for.
It was about to storm, and we were all getting sicker by the minute. My husband and I went driving around to where he and Britt had gone. As luck would have it, they had made a lot of stops: a Pizza restaurant, Kroger, Taco Bell…not to mention all the stop lights in between.
I asked the workers at Taco Bell if anyone had seen a tiny white kitten and the girl said someone had nearly hit one a little earlier in the drive thru.
Playing chicken with a car? We knew we’d found our man.
We got out and walked around the lot beside Taco Bell - there were lots of evergreen trees and we thought a frightened kitten would surely go there, even Bo. Sure enough, we FINALLY found him, as it was beginning to storm, underneath a tree shaking.
We brought him home to a relieved Steph who I was even more worried about than Bo!
He pulled a similar trick a few weeks later by sneaking up into our Caravan - he rode across town and back. (Again, to Taco Bell!) When we pulled up, we saw him get out shaking. My driving does that to people.
I’m just tickled to death that he has gotten too big to pull anything like that again.

Awwww, its me and my baby!! I’ve convinced Bo not to take any more trips to Taco Bell… that was WAY too hard on me
Steph
We’ll both live much longer if he’ll stay home and order in.

[…] I am so ordering one of these for our kittens. I think Bo‘ll entertain himself for hours on end! […]
[…] So, I took a bit of advice the author gave for dealing with elderly cats and tried it out. I sprinkled a little garlic powder on some cat food that had been sitting overnight. Svengali and Bo dove in like it was fresh salmon from a stream! I’m sure the other cat’s would’ve shared their enthusiasm, but two were at another dish and one was still terrorizing field mice. (One clue, her name starts with Carly!) […]
[…] I’ve been picturing our cats playing with this and I think Bo would probably entertain himself for hours! […]
[…] If you click the little guy below, you’ll be taken to a bigger pic. Then, if you right click him with your mouse and click “Set as Background”, you’ll be treated to an adorable wallpaper! This cat reminds me of a lighter version of our Bo. […]
[…] The Kitty Condo above is for the hippest of cats - the cat who’s too cool to cast a shadow. Like our Bo - he’s the sort that’d go for this condo. […]
