Play Time!
Everything I read regarding the well being and happiness of cats makes a point of emphasizing playtime. It gets as much attention as immunizations, diet and grooming. More, actually.
Apparently cats can get bored really easily, and need the stimulation provided by play. I guess it makes sense, since in the wild they’re surrounded by excitement. There’s always something going down!
Not only does it benefit them mentally, it gives us time to establish an emotional bond with them, which is always a very important, and beautiful thing. Plus, if Kitty’s beginning to pack on the pounds, exercise will help with that, too.
With that last sentence in mind, below are a few toys we’ll be getting for Adam! (If you’ve seen the pics on this blog of our little redhead, don’t let them fool you, that was pounds ago!)
Cat Attack Remote Control Cat Exerciser Cat Toy
Mews Ments Mini Tennis Ball Cat Toy
If you have human children to also buy gifts for this Christmas, check out a new toy blog that a friend has put up: Toys. Gadgetizer.com Actually, I’m thinking that our cats would prefer a few of those toys! The iZ, the Robo Pet and the iDOG would keep them mesmerized for hours.
