Keeping Pets Safe During the Heat Wave

I don’t know about you, but I’m more ready for a fall than a one-legged drunk with an inner ear infection. But the fall I’m ready for is the one with leaves rustling, Sweet Potato pies baking, apple cider simmering, a crisp breeze…uh, breezing, and my Bronco’s gearing up. This is so their year. I swear-ish.

Anyway, I’m 100 percent certain all of my furry babies are with me on this one. I love them dearly, but they all look like crap. Poor babies! Today’s a little bit better that Monday and Tuesday were here. On both of those days, I actually rubbed Wednesday (the dog our cats indulge), Bo, and Adam down with ice cubes. Wednesday wagged his tail and looked like he was in doggie Heaven, and Bo and Adam purred blissfully. Svenn was scared of the ice (Not surprisingly - he’s scared of pretty much everything. He probably thought I was trying to freeze him for a later meal.) and Alexa kept wanting to eat the ice. So she licked it like a popsicle.
