Welcome to the Cat-Pause.com Blog.

We (as in my cats and I) thought a blog might be a lot of fun, afterall we all ready have a website (cat-pause.com), so this was next.

My name is Joi (pronounced Joy). It’s spelled that way because my mom wanted to name me Joy, but my grandmother (S-E-T I-N H-E-R W-A-Y-S) insisted on spelling it with an i instead of a y. I’m not sure anyone bothered to ask her why, even if they had she’d have probably just stared at them like they were an alien with two heads. She loved to do that.

My husband’s name is Mike. We have three beautiful daughters - Emily, Brittany and Stephany, five beautiful cats - Prissy, Alexa, Bo, Adam and Svenn and one handsome dog - Wednesday.

Since the blog began, we’ve lost two much loved cats, Carly and Renee Elise. I can’t bring myself to take them off of the blog (or the website for that matter). After all, they’ll always be with me, in my heart and mind.
