Detective Novel Meets Cat Lover

Ever read a Lilian Jackson Braun novel? I’m absolutely in love with her writing. She has the skills and style of Agatha Christie - but with more edge…..and more cats. LJB is a cat-lover, and it shows in every word. It’s obvious that she’s “one of us,” and that makes her books all the more fun to read.
She also has a dash of Dean Koontz’s madness, which, in my book makes her a must-read…..as in must-read every book she ever wrote.
The book above, Three Complete Novels: The Cat Who Tailed a Thief/the Cat Who Sang for the Birds/the Cat Who Saw Stars,
includes three books that even I haven’t read yet - accent on the yet. Check back with me by the end of September the situation will have changed! Er, better make that November, Mr. Koontz has a new book I haven’t even bought yet. Cats or no cats, The Koontz comes first —-The Koontz always comes first.

I LOVE Lillian!!! Still need to get her latest book. I don’t think her mysteries are that great as of late (a few exceptions) but I just like my annual visit to Pickax so much I can’t miss it.
I totally agree - I’m afraid I haven’t like the most recent ones quite as much as the others. She’s such a brilliant author, I think she’ll hit her stride again.
